Watterson puts political colleagues on notice of 'contentious' legislation
Potential changes to work permit legislation on the Isle of Man need ‘further scrutiny’ and have been dubbed ‘contentious’.
The Speaker of the House of Keys has activated a rarely used Tynwald protocol in a bid to ensure politicians properly assess the legislation.
In Tynwald this month the enterprise minister will try and gain support for a temporary suspension of work permits.
But Juan Watterson has put his political colleagues on notice that they need to carefully consider the idea:
Knives and 'sharp metal objects' found in Douglas Council recycling box
Bus drivers to go on strike
Taxi driver remanded in custody after admitting £11k cheque fraud against father
Island businesses invited to FSA events
