There was a mixed reaction from people Manx Radio spoke to about the ruling by an independent inspector on the status of footpaths at Langness.
The inspector has ruled that a coastal path around the Jeremy Clarksons' lighthouse home, and a whole network of paths on the peninsula, are public rights of way.
Pressure group PRoWL (Public Rights of Way Langness) are declaring 'a major victory', but these people in Castletown were generally more concerned about the Clarksons' privacy:
