Some legislation 'slowed down' to prioritise other bills
Department of Home Affairs believes it is 'unlikely' that three major pieces of legislation can be delivered in this administration.
The Hate Crime Bill, Sentencing Bill and legislation to replace the Interception of Communications Act 1988 and the Regulation of Surveillance, Etc. Act 2006 are described as 'at risk'.
Minister Jane Poole-Wilson has previously emphasised the need for giving courts aggravated sentencing powers to help reduce incidents of hate crime.
Speaking to Manx Radio after the announcement, she denied that minority groups have been given false hope:
