Tynwald to talk houses, health, goats

First sitting of 2018 tomorrow

A varied selection of topics will be covered during Tynwald questions tomorrow morning, from public sector housing to wild goats.

The thirteen for oral answer come from just four members: MHKs Daphne Caine, Julie Edge and Lawrie Hooper, and David Cretney MLC.

Mr Hooper has a trio of questions about council houses: whether introducing shared waiting lists is an all-Island policy; what happens to tenants who no longer meet the criteria when it is reviewed after five years; and where means testing is up to.

Ms Edge has queries about the appraisal process for chief officers and the government's whistleblowing policy.

Mrs Caine will ask the DEFA minister what his department is doing about the wild goats in Garff.

She's also requesting a review of the catchment area for Dhoon Primary School by the Department of Education, Sport and Culture.

And Mr Cretney wants to know if the new health and social care minister plans to review any of his predecessors' policies.
