Also a need to recognise rights fought for, says Halsall
A trade union official is calling for more young workers to sign up and get involved.
Debbie Halsall of Unite and Mick Hewer from Prospect - the two biggest unions in the Isle of Man - both appeared live on Manx Radio's Perspective programme with Dollin Mercer this lunchtime.
Mrs Halsall says she's always keen to make younger members of the Island's population more aware of just what a union actually does, and the rights which have been fought for and won over the decades
She adds an injection of youth is very much needed:
Amber weather warning issued as strong winds and coastal conditions expected overnight
Hospice funding criticised by UK charity chief amid Isle of Man service cuts
Sailings cancelled as storm brings gale-force winds
Manx Mountain Marathon route diverted over safety concerns amid forecast strong winds
