Will MNH spend windfall cash in south?

Chairman of Arbory comminssioners Adrian Cowin is still hopeful Colby will get some sort of heritage facility after a court case ruled out setting up a museum, funded by a local resident's bequest.

John Donald Collister left £1.2 million for the construction of a heritage centre and museum in the village, but a court heard such a scheme wouldn't get planning permission, and decided the cash should go to Manx National Heritage.

Arbory commissioners had suggested they could help set up and run the centre, and Mr Cowin says they are still hopeful MNH will consider the village when it spends the money:
