Marown reinstated into the top flight for next season
Douglas Royal Football Club has taken voluntary relegation from the Canada Life Men's Premier League for the 2024/25 season.
The Isle of Man FA has confirmed it's granted a request from the club for its first team to step down into Division 2 'in order to help them in rebuilding.'
Marown will be reinstated into the top flight having dropped down at the end of the previous campaign.
During the 2023/24 season, Douglas Royal's first team finished tenth out of the 13 sides in the premier league on 22 points, four points clear of the relegation zone.
Meanwhile, Marown have earned a reprieve having finished second-from-bottom on 18 points, only Braddan on nine points ended the campaign on a lower total.
