Arts Council chairman hits back

The chairman of the Isle of Man Arts Council has hit back over claims it turned down an MHF's request to see its accounts.

Geoff Corkish MLC says East Douglas MHK Chris Robertshaw was given all the information he requested.

Mr Robertshaw denies this and says he wasn't allowed to see the council's minutes of meetings, either.

Mr Corkish says the comments - in the wake of funding cuts to the Sayle Gallery - are extremely damaging.

And he describes Mr Robertshaw's claims as ill-informed.
