Chinese trip defended by Chief Minister

The Chief Minister and his delegation have spoken to the media in Beijing at the start of a week-long visit to China.

Allan Bell has joined private sector representatives for a week of presentations and meetings.

The idea, says Mr Bell, is to strengthen Manx-Sino relations and generate new business opportunities.

Speaking from the Chinese capital, he fired a broadside at those who have criticised the trip on cost grounds.
