Douglas fun day looking for participants

Douglas Council says it's splitting two of its popular events - after holding them on the same day last year.

Douglas Carnival and the Noble's Park Fun Day will be held a fortnight apart and at different venues after combining both on Douglas promenade in 2104.

Chairman of the corporation's Regeneration and Community Committee John Skinner says they're now looking for organisations, traders and charities who'd like stalls for the fun day, which will be held on August 1.

Councillor Skinner explained the decision to separate the two.
