Island veering towards 'constitutional crisis'

The Isle of Man will be at the centre of 'a constitutional crisis' unless it acts quickly to resolve the future of its Attorney General.

That's the view of North Douglas MHK after it was confirmed legal action had begun against the Lieutenant Governor.

Stephen Harding remains on a precautionary suspension, 19 months after charges of perjury and committing acts against public justice were dropped.

John Houghton believes Mr Harding has been forced to act and says it has the potential to be very embarrassing for the Island and its reputation.
