Local charity solve blubber mystery 

Manx Whale and Dolphin Watch has determined the remains of a harbour porpoise were the result of a seal attack.

Late last month, crew surveying marine life off Port St Mary encountered fragments of a porpoise calf.   

After analysing bite marks on the skin, photographs were sent to the UK Cetacean Strandings Investigation Programme confirming it was killed by a grey bull seal.

Outreach and Education Manager Jen Adams said the finding is a first in Manx waters:
