Third candidate declares in Douglas East

A third House of Keys candidate has emerged to contest the soon-to-be vacant Douglas East seat.

Geraldine O'Neill, a teacher and language co-ordinator at St Ninian's High School is branch secretary for the Island's teaching union and secretary of the Archibald Knox Society.

The vacancy will arise when Brenda Cannell steps down next month, following 19 years as an MHK for the constituency.
