Late Lunch listen again: Steven Quayle

We were joined on the show by the incredible Steven Quayle, who took part in the London Marathon yesterday and completed it - an achievement in itself, but even more so when you hear that he slipped on a discarded water bottle 8 miles in and broke his foot, sprained his hip and tore his calf...but carried on through the pain to finish in under 4 hours!

He says he was inspired by the people he was raising money for - the patients at Hospice IOM and Josie Bridges of Positive Bones - who he says have bigger challenges to deal with daily. You can sponsor Steven and support the charities on his Justgiving Page here. With thanks to Sean Bostrom from Positive Bones who introduced us to Steven and his extraordinary story and also joined us on the show to give an update on Josie's campaign

Also today, we had the first of our daily Manx Music Festival 2019 updates with Judith Ley live from the Villa Marina; you can subscribe to the Guild podcast here

We were set our latest challenge by Phil and Simon from Moghrey Jedoonee, this week being linked to a very important Manxman's birthday

The Marathon themed Soul Starter today was Jnr Walker's 'Road Runner' and the Jukebox was again a Retro winner, this time  Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell, who was born on this day in 1945. We played 'You're All I Need to Get By'.

You can listen back to today's programme at this link for the next 7 days.
