AG found accusations 'most upsetting'

The Island’s Attorney General says he considered an allegation against him to be a ‘slight on his integrity’.

A court has today heard how Stephen Harding found it ‘most upsetting’ when he was accused of perjury and acting against public justice.

The 52-year-old was subsequently charged, charges he denies at his trial.

He insists he did not ‘recklessly or intentionally mislead’ the court during the winding-up order of former Island company Street Heritage in 2010.

Mr Harding’s trial continues next week.
