Review critical of relationship between gov't and teachers
The chief minister says an independent review of the education department - which he commissioned - is "not a nice read."
Compiled by management consultant Beamans, the report describes the relationship between the Department of Education, Sport and Culture and Manx schools as 'fractured'.
Rob Kelsall, of the National Association of Head Teachers, says the findings and recommendations will resonate with teachers, who have been calling on government to listen to their professional concerns for some time.
