Douglas Council lifts charges from Chester Street Car Park

Part of Covid-19 response to help key workers and businesses

Douglas Borough Council has lifted all charges from the Chester Street Car Park with immediate effect.

It's one of the latest measures from the Covid-19 response, with the hope that key workers, those with business in Douglas, shoppers and those choosing to avoid travelling by public transport have free and convenient access to the town centre.

Councillor David Christian says: 'It's crucial to support the local economy by removing whatever barriers to businesses we can at a time of immensely difficult trading conditions.’
