Firefighters spend an hour at the scene
Fire crews from Kirk Michael and Peel spent an hour tackling a fire at a property in the west of the Island.
Officers were called out to deal with a fire in a lounge at a home on Douglas Road in Kirk Michael just after 6.30pm yesterday.
After extinguishing the flames, the team used a thermal imaging camera to check for hot spots before ventilating the smoke logged property.
