Politicians make carbon commitment
Jersey has declared a "climate change emergency".
Politicians voted 40 to 1 to commit the island to be carbon neutral by the year 2030.
The government has until the end of the year to reveal a plan of action.
Protests have taken place for over two weeks at Royal Square in St Helier, organised by the Jersey branch of Extinction Rebellion.
In the Isle of Man, two local authorities have made such a declaration so far: Braddan and Port St Mary.
