Over the weekend, road racing events in Northern Ireland have taken a hit.

The North West 200 press launch on Wednesday 18 March has been postponed and organisers are attending a special briefing today with officials, including the chief medical officer of Northern Ireland.

The Cookstown 100 has been postponed and won't take place on Friday 24 and Saturday 25 April.

Organisers are looking at dates in August to stage the event.
