Initiative to 'Back a Newcomer' in this year's MGP
Enthusiasts and supporters of motorbike racing in the Isle of Man are being invited to 'Back a Newcomer' at this year's Festival of Motorcycling.
The scheme is a non-profit making enterprise to support riders making their competitive debut in this year's Manx Grand Prix on the mountain circuit.
Those in need of support range from the likes of Onchan man James Smith, to Veronica Hankocyova from Brno in the Czech Republic.
In Veronica's profile, she says she "loves the Mountain Course", that it's the "biggest challenge for her in her racing career", and that she "just wants to enjoy it, and ride her bike like she stole it!".
