Manx boxer loses out to class favourite
Jade Burden has taken bronze at the 2022 Algarve Box Cup in Portugal.
At the weekend, the Manx boxer suffered a narrow defeat in the Women's 60kg semi-finals to favourite in the class and world championship medallist, Alessia Mesiano of Italy.
Despite giving a high-calibre, close fought performance Mesiano was eventually awarded victory via split decision to progress to the final in the division leaving Burden to take the bronze medal.
