Vagas remain top after Mossley Hill win

Rugby results for Saturday, 30 November

Birchfield dash Ramsey hopes

Ramsey’s hopes for a first win of the season were dashed when fellow strugglers Birchfield won 24-14 at a cold and windy Mooragh Park. Steve Filkins and Richard Dennett scored early tries to put Birchfield in front 10-0. Dan Bonwick’s try and conversion looked to be getting Ramsey back into the game until Dennett’s second, converted by Jack Phillips gave Birchfield at 17-7 half time lead. Ben Harding’s try converted by Bonwick pulled Ramsey back into contention before a late try from Sean McDonnell sealed the result and gave Birchfield a try bonus point. Phillips’ second conversion of the match put icing on the cake.

Vagabonds run at the top continues
